Winning the Divorce

About four months after B. and I separated, he asked if I could meet him for dinner. He had some news. The "news" was that he would more or less be living in Paris for the next 12-24 months, overseeing a European company purchase made by his company.  For anyone not in the know, B. and I parted on excellent terms and have remained friends. I was thrilled for him, but couldn’t resist a small tease.

“So you’re saying that if I had hung on for four more months, I could be a freelance writer living in Paris?” I asked.

Good news! My editor e-mailed yesterday to say that my newest book, Who Moved My Mouse? A Self-Help Book for Cats has been purchased by Exmo Publishing House, a Russian publisher. Soon, all of Moscow and St. Petersburg will be abuzz about the funny cat book written by that crazy cat lady.

A few of you have been kind enough to ask if I have any book signings in the immediate area. I've got a link on the Who Moved My Mouse? website that lists Dena's Appearances. You can check there for updates but below I've listed a few area upcoming events. Book signings can be a lonely time. I myself have avoided eye contact with many an author in a bookstore who sat alone and uncomfortable amid their pile of "please buy me" books. Don't let that be me!
